Moody Pond is Awake.

The last third of Moody Pond has melted away, and it’s ice out as of 8pm today. Saw the first rise this evening. I just happened to have my rod with me and cast from shore - BINGO…….

Mayflies on the move….

While at the lakes checking ice condition I found a considerable migration of mayfly nymphs on the edge of Lake Chocorua….

I counted 30 swimming by in less than a minute

River Confluence….

Not always are we able to have the seam of two rivers shown to us so clearly - Swift River (left) & Saco (right)…..
